ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
We are Rob, Rachael, and James - a busy family of three from Skagit County. We are adventure seekers, board game lovers, and can rarely agree on a show to watch together.
Mount Baker is our favorite destination, in part because of the many adventure opportunities. Our family likes to ski and snowshoe in the winter time. We often bring our road bikes to the Cabin in the spring and summer months - and we frequently race in Ski-to-Sea over Memorial Day weekend. There are endless hiking opportunities nearby, which are particularly beautiful in the summer and fall. And we love to gather around the big table, either at home or at the Cabin, to play board games with friends well into the evening.
Our household is abuzz every day of the week, living a fast-paced life where schedules and technology keep us on track. We all need time away from ringing cell phones and scheduled tasks. And this is why we love Two Peaks Cabin.
WHY GLACIER
We fell in love with Glacier in the fall of 2017. We were headed into a very busy month and slipped away for a long weekend. What we found was an oasis that became our second home.
Glacier is beautiful every season of the year. Two Peaks Cabin is just 20 miles from the Mount Baker Ski Resort, with hiking trails leaving the highway in all directions. Glacier is the perfect landing spot for adventure seekers, and also for a restful weekend away. Two Peaks Cabin is tucked away in the Mount Baker Rim, surrounded by trees and visited by the occasional deer.
The town of Glacier has a special place in our hearts. We've cheered for our Seahawks over pizza at Chair 9 and enjoyed the fried pickles at Grahams (James's favorite.) We've hiked, biked, and played in the snow, and are constantly on the hunt for a new trail.
Probably our favorite part of being in Glacier is truly being disconnected. In a world with 24/7 on-call weeks and frequent calendar reminders, Glacier's lack of cell phone coverage is one of our favorite features.
